Rai is located in Northern Thailand bordering Burma and Laos. It is approximately
200 from Chiang Mai and 900 km from Bangkok. Chiang Rai City itself is flat
but it is surrounded by verdant mountains which are home to numerous tribal
groups with their unique cultures.
Rai Province is home to numerous attractions including Doi Tung, Doi Mae Salong,
the historic ruins in Chiang Saen, Golden Triangle and the Burmese border town of
Mae Sai. There are numerous hotsprings, waterfalls and other natural attractions.
Din Dang is only 12 km from Chiang Rai and 6 km from the airport. When traveling north or south on the superhighway, look for signs to the "Long Neck Karen Village." Follow those signs. Doy Din Dang is about 2 kilometers from the main road, on the left.
